J & A Training Services was named in loving honor of my grandparents, Julius Baker and Annie Lee McCormick — two extraordinary individuals whose lives were defined by faith, resilience, and unwavering hard work.

Hard work was never a stranger to either of them. They believed in showing up, doing things the right way, and building something that would last. That work ethic wasn’t just spoken — it was lived daily and lovingly instilled into their children and grandchildren. Their lessons were not only about working hard, but about working with integrity, dignity, and purpose.

The foundation of this business stands on the values they modeled: commitment, consistency, and care for others. Every class taught, every student trained, and every accomplishment achieved carries a piece of their legacy forward.

Though they are gone, they are never forgotten. Their love continues to guide, their example continues to inspire, and their legacy continues to live on through every generation they poured into.

Julius and Annie Lee would be proud to see all that their children and grandchildren have accomplished — and it is with deep gratitude that their names live on through this work.

Lakeisha Terry is a dedicated Notary Public, E-Notary Instructor, and Certified CPR Instructor based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. With a passion for empowering others, she has designed and published over a dozen specialized notary public journals, including her most recent release—a journal and guide created to help new notaries gain confidence and competence in their practice.

In addition to her work in the notary field, Lakeisha is a certified CPR Instructor and Instructor Trainer, equipping individuals and organizations with life-saving skills and preparing future instructors to confidently lead their own classes. Through her company, J & A Training Services, she provides engaging, hands-on CPR and safety training that strengthens both individuals and communities.

Lakeisha serves as a North Carolina Notary/E-Notary Public Instructor at local community colleges throughout North Carolina and also works as a Corporate Trainer, delivering notary education to companies beyond the traditional classroom setting. Her commitment to community impact and professional development was recognized when she received the Winston-Salem Ambassadors 2024 Everyday People Award.

Driven by a desire to support others beyond the classroom, Lakeisha continues to create resources that encourage, educate, and inspire. She is also a proud mother and “Uma” to four amazing children—Leah, Laila, Torrance, and Marli. Lakeisha lives and serves in North Carolina with her family.
